Person 1: “Unnskyld, kan du fortelle meg hvordan jeg kommer meg til nærmeste bensinstasjon?” (Excuse me, can you tell me how to get to the nearest gas station?)
Person 2: “Selvfølgelig, du må ta til venstre ved neste lyskryss, og så er det rett frem i omtrent to kilometer.” (Of course, you have to turn left at the next traffic light, and then it’s straight ahead for about two kilometers.)
Person 1: “Tusen takk for hjelpen!” (Thank you so much for your help!)
Person 2: “Ingen årsak, kjør forsiktig!” (No problem, drive safely!)
Remember, Norwegian pronunciation can be quite different from English, so it’s a good idea to listen to these phrases spoken by a native speaker or use a language learning app that has audio features.
